I like Evangelion, Halo, Made In Abyss and Metal Gear, as well as many other anime and games(especially Clannad). All of these works inspire mine greatly, I absolutely love mystery and conspircacy thrillers like Metal Gear and Evangelion, and also mystery in general like in Made In Abyss and Halo.
Made In Abyss (MIA), is an amazing story, it's characters and worldbuilding are impecable, as well as it's music, however it's hampered by the weird fantasies of the author, Tsukushi. This means that the show contains many questionable and sometimes downright disgusting moments, which in turn means I can't reccomend it. However it may be worth watching if you are able to stomach it, because it is a truly amazing story, it's heartfelt and heartbreaking, as well as having lots of horror elements which I love. If you can stomach loli-bait then it might be enjoyable.
Halo is truly dear to me. Halo has always been in my life and it's story is worth experiencing, ESPECIALLY Halo 2. To me, Halo feels biblical, like it's meaning hasn't been unlocked yet, and that it's just beyond our comprehension. The character writing is spectacular, in 2 specifically, as it details the life of Thel Vadam, the last Arbiter of the Covenant. It also comments on the corrupt nature of organised religion through Thel. PLAY HALO.
